Lale, I have heard that if I do cardio, I am NEVER going to increase muscle mass. And my answer is: “Uh-huh and tell me, what kind of cardio do you do? How do you combine it?? These are the two key questions!! Doing cardio you can increase more muscle mass but: it is a slower process and more demanding. If defining or shaping your body is your goal and love doing cardio only worry about keeping your resistance exercises during the week, which means, magic is in the combination. Also nutrition is very important, you should be eating the necessary food and nutrients to maintain your muscle mass and ALWAYS change the cardio routines!! Try changing your long jogging periods for short period running at top speed, sprints and do intervals. You can try walking at intervals also. There are many ideas and ways to do things, you only have to want to do them!! And dont be afraid of cardio! Havent you seen the legs of sprinters?!
